In April 2021, AVA co-organised a week training with PHARMBIOTRAC of Mbarara University of Science and Technology on the use of medicinal herbs at Businge, Kamwenge. As a follow-up, 30 people formed the group Tambira Amagara under AVA supervision to grow medicinal plants, with special attention to threatened species with potential health solutions.
